Rated 2 out of 5 by Prime from Misinputs hold it back from being good The controller feels good in the hands, and I love that it has a home button and a screenshot button. However... like most people, I bought this specifically for Smash Ultimate, and sadly this controller has a habit of misinputting actions with the sticks. Sometimes when I flick the left stick to dash, my character will walk instead. And sometimes when flicking the right stick for a tilt attack, sometimes my character just won't do anything. This is a MAJOR flaw if you bought this for Smash Ultimate and were hoping to take it to tournaments. If it weren't for the misinputs, this would be a near perfect controller. PDP, please make a better product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TheFiona from Great Controller Once You're Used To It The gamecube was my first console as a kid so of course I would get this instead of a regular Pro-Controller. There are a couple of minor differences, like the L and R triggers being on a pivot instead of sliding and the added LZ that are a little strange at first but are fine after a little bit of play. Some games where you can't reconfigure controls are pretty awkward without the cross setup they were made for, but any game where you can configure the buttons to something comfortable works like a breeze. I was a little sad to find it didn't work in my laptop, but that's hardly a deal-breaker or anything.

It doesn’t feel like it’s made out of any cheap plastics and all the buttons feel really nice to press. The shoulder buttons are different but it’s easy to get used to and feels better than the GameCube shoulder buttons. The control stick has a bit more travel distance than usual controllers, but whether that is good or bad is up to your own personal preference. I have also tested if this works on PC for the dolphin emulator and it works great. I would highly recommend this as a cheap alternative to the more expensive game cube controller.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Mummy from WARNING: Game-breaking bug! Do not buy! If you're buying this to play Super Smash Bros Ultimate, DON'T DO IT! There is a known glitch with these controllers that will cause your character to throw out random inputs if there's also an adapter for Gamecube controllers plugged in. Every tournament uses these adapters, so until the bug is fixed, the PDP Fight Pad Pro is utterly non-viable in competitive play (or casual play with a friend who uses a Gamecube controller) because you'll end up killing yourself with random air dodges, grabs, and aerials. PDP + Nintendo: Fix this, or refund the controllers! This sort of bug is unacceptable in a controller designed and marketed for competitive play.

Rated 5 out of 5 by BillB from Great Pikachu style controller I really like this Nintendo Switch Pikachu Wired Fight Pad Pro Nintendo Switch by PDP. I love the Pikachu style and the matt finish which gives it a comfortable nonslip grip and the addtion of the ZR and ZL triggers in the back. You can also change out the c-stick for a full-size stick with the detachable stick design. The buttons have a decent feel to them, are very responsive and the layout is good. It comes with a nice long 10 foot cord that has to be plugged into the dock. Overall after playing around with this controller I'm very happy with the look and feel plus I have had no problems. I would definitely recommend this controller.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PoSamaa from Sonic PDP controller I bought these controllers a few time and returned them twice i really love the Feel and designs of the controller and its almost perfect for smash the issue I have with this controller is if a game cube controller adapter is plugged into the switch the controller does attack with the analog stick and the last time I had the controller its was feburary of this year and they still havent fixed this issue, from a competitive stand point this controller is usless because most people use gc controllers in tourneys and its unfair if your controller is doing false inputs PDP Please fix this, besides that I love the feel of the gc and pro controller hybrid and it's great for other games too and love how you can change the c stick for a more modern feel. The build quality is also super good and feels comfy for long play sessions. I would recommend this if you dont plan to go to tourneys and dont own a gc adapter

Rated 1 out of 5 by IronBeagle from Wrong inputs I bought this about a month ago and it worked fine initially for a couple weeks, but I started noticing that the "a" button would be pressed without me actually pressing it. I tried contacting customer support, both through online ticket and calling the 800 number, to no avail. I cannot seem to get any support at all for this item, and while I would like to give this a good rating, I can't because of poor customer service. If anyone is able to help me out I would be glad to change this review to a positive one.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Janx from Doesn't hod up I got the control back in May, and at first I was very happy about it. It did wonders for smash bros tournaments. But just yesterday, I was at my weekly toirnament and did an up smash attacks. For no reason, the attack held for like five seconds, giving my plenty of time to KO me. Upon further inspection, I noticed that, sometimes, the A button will just keep hoping after I tap it. Overall it was OK of a controller for like four months. Don't buy it if you want to use it long term for Smash Bros or some other competitive game, I'd say stick to Nintendo's official one for now. And if the makers of the controller are reading this, it would be amazing to get some help with that a button, because I don't want to shell out fifty bucks for a new controller.
