Rated 5 out of 5 by from Favorite Xbox Accessory I love this remote. The connection process was extremely easy. It is a must have if you use your Xbox for streaming. No more having to turn on the Xbox remote after it shuts off half way through a movie to pause it. The remote feels high end and the buttons have the right amount of resistance when pressing. This is a great item and I haven't mentioned the best part yet. The motion activated back lit buttons!!! This is a very useful feature when watching movies/shows in the dark especially when you're getting used to the arrangement of the buttons on the remote. Overall, great product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor battery life and more. Having been a longtime user of the PS3 remote, I was expecting the equivalent for the PS4 to be just as good. Unfortunately, that is not the case. This remote stinks. The batteries don't last nearly as long as they do in the PS3 remote, and for some reason I can't fathom, they have designed this thing to shut itself off after 10 minutes. Do you want to pause the movie you're watching? Do you want to navigate your menus after not having touched the remote for the past 10 minutes? Well then, you're going to need to press the PS button and wait a little for the remote to turn back on and reconnect. The remote is also not particularly responsive, the enter button is mushy and often takes several presses to register. A massive disappointment. If I were Sony, I wouldn't license pdp to make any more official peripherals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great remote! Picked up this remote since we needed something to control our Xbox system while watching movies, etc! This is almost perfect! I can’t decide if I love the textured feel; I do hope it’ll last and not get worn or funky. Because of the texture and slimness it can be difficult to press some buttons (especially volume) and know it worked, buttons could use a little more travel or be larger. A couple other design choices could have been better; love the motion activated lighting, however it would be nice if it stayed lit for longer (or could be set by user), be awesome if the xbox button lit up too. Overall it’s very nice and a great accessory to have, even if a little better functionality is traded for slick design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for navigating my xbox one x! Don't mind the negative reviews that complain about not changing the channels for their cable box! LOL this is an Xbox remote, not your TV remote replacement. This thing works great for your xbox x, easily moving thru my dashboard and apps. Sometimes I have my xbox controller charging or just not near me or I don't want to hold something that bulky just to change or type something, makes it easy. I wouldn't count on this to be my TV controller, thats just silly. Plus it looks sleek af!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's good but could've been better... The PDP Gaming Talon Media Remote for the Xbox One S is pretty easy to operate. The light goes off too quickly making it hard to find the exact buttons to press withina good time. The hugest downside that keeps me from giving a 5-star rating, the large directional & enter circle is concaved rather than even with all other buttons. Being sunk in makes it truly difficult to select the directions & has cramped my hands too many times. It works well beyond those 2 flaws. If you can get beyond that, it's worth the $20 spent. If PDP offered a clear adhesived convexed button to improve this product, I'd upgrade it to a 5-star rating.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great controller but really short life. Got this controller because the family uses the PlayStation as the main media source. It worked amazing for over half a year, not a single problem. Now the controller is completely dead. Tried to change the batteries, disconnect and reset my PS4 but the controller is completely non responsive. The led doesn’t even light up now. It was a great product for the short time it worked but for 30$ for 6-7 months of use is not worth it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works great on everything EXCEPT THE PS4!!!!!!!!! this is the second one I have that does the same thing. It was an exchange replacement for the first one that literally did the exact same thing. Was able to add it to the system but like within the first few uses of pressing the ps4 button, the red light blinks 2-3 times and then becomes completely non-responsive rendering it completely useless to control the PS4 itself. Really?? Are you kidding me?? So infuriating. And no point exchanging it...clearly it's a product flaw. And based on the low rating on here, I'm not the only one that feels that way...would be awesome if PDP did something about this....or had an explanation or a some solution. Taking it to the store to exchange did no good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect media remote for XBox The remote works very well on my 1st gen Xbox One. It has a good field of view(?) on the emitter, it sends signals at a high frequency so scrolling is smoother and the letter buttons allow you to enter text with much less hassle. The motion-activated backlight works well and is highly sensitive: if I can't find the remote in the dark, I just smack my coffee table and the keypad lights up if it's on there. My only gripe is that the battery cover is not held on securely and it periodically falls off, though the batteries do not fall out. If that cover had a more positive locking mechanism then I'd give a full 5 stars.
