Rated 2 out of 5 by from Would be great , but keeps turning off on its own I’ve only had this for 3 days ( purchases on amazon) product looks and performs great except for 1 very frustrating issue it keeps turning off on its own, sometimes after 2 min sometimes 10 min sometimes 30 min , but will always just turn off on its own, I have it plugged into the USB port on the back of the switch dock using the cable provided with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks and Works Great! I actually bought mine like 2 years ago but didn't realize I could leave a review. I actually managed to find a Pokemon one at the nearest Gamestop from me. It came with two panels, one with a more energetic design featuring Pikachu and the Pokemon logo and the other being a simple pattern with Pokeballs. It looks great and works fine. I love all the color options and the options to make it flash, switch between colors, etc.. The only strange thing is that I have never seen the Pokemon cover before or since I bought mine, and I bought the only one the Gamestop had too. I've never seen it advertised either. You could convince me that PDP only made one Pokemon one and I just happened to find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I got this from Gamestop when I had first gotten my switch. I passed a few times due to the price and not having the budget, however once I got it I couldn't be happier. I'm super into RGB lights and this fits perfectly. It was a super easy install, just place your switch dock on top of it, pop in your desired shield and plug it into your switch using a provided USB cable. The lights are bright and light up my whole room, but haven't given me headaches or anything like that. They're easy to sleep to as well. I usually have it set on the rainbow setting where it changes from color to color. I only wish that it had more shield options (such as a Splatoon theme to buy) or even could be easily programmed to have certain colors. But the product never offered this, and I never expected it. It had never gone off without me wanting it to, and has held up quite nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Colors Add Fun to the Nintendo Switch! The Nintendo Switch Light Up Dock Shield is a fun addition to the console. It is very easy to set up, just plug the provided USB cord into the base and then into the Switch dock. There are three buttons on the Light Up Dock Shield that control the power, color and mode. There are seven colors to choose from or you can choose to have all the colors flash, strobe or smooth through the seven colors. There are two panels included, one from Super Mario Odyssey and the other is the Sheikah Eye from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The panels have a blue protective film on the front and back that you remove. I found that it wasn’t too difficult to remove the film, but I wish that there would have been a little tab to start the removal process. Overall, the unit is very sturdy, the lights are bright, and this is a great addition to our gaming console. I would recommend this light up dock shield to fans of either the Super Mario Odyssey or the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild games.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works Got the Pokeball one, and it works as it should. I will buy another one if they make a fire emblem one, Marth's falcion or binding shield

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome, but... This is a great switch accessory I absolutely love it. The only problem is that there aren't any other shield designs. There is only 4 in total. It would be great if there were to be a variety of them to choose from.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feature, Super Colorful Cool accessory for the Switch dock. You can choose between 2 different plate designs and several different colors. The dock sits on top of the light up base and you plug the device into the usb connection on the back of the Switch dock to power it. This device lights up even with the Switch powered off and without the Switch console in the dock. As long as the dock is plugged into a power connection and the dock shield is plugged into the dock via USB, it will power on. There is also a strobe light effect which quickly cycles through every color, which is mainly just to show off the dock shield. The dock shield likely uses very little electricity due to it being connected to USB and due to the lights being LEDs. I highly recommend this great product

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good but shuts off Randomly turns off, I read the other reviews and other people have this problem. It could be that the USB ports turn off somehow or go into sleep to preserve power. I noticed that the unit doesnt preserve memory if it shuts off this way.
