Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING HEADSET A MUST BUY This head set Is amazing. I would put it up against some of the top companies. It’s got great sound and great sound direction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Value and performance. Was looking to replace an excellent wired headset that I’d broken at the connector while plugged into my Xbox controller. Wanting to avoid this happening again, a wireless headset seemed like the obvious choice. However, I’d moved from an older high end wireless to the wired set because of interference with my 2.4ghz wi-fi. Since Bluetooth and most wireless headsets operate in the 2.4ghz band of frequencies, I was worried that I’d have the same interference issue with any wireless set. With that said, I stumbled across the PDP LVL 50 wireless just released. Reading critical (i.e. professional) reviews on the net, the consensus is that the LVL 50 is a great value. Most user reviews are extremely positive as well, but currently are almost all from people who received them free for review purposes. While I don’t necessarily doubt the credibility of these reviewers, when you receive something for free, you are likely predisposed to be more positive…I know I would be. Initial thoughts: The LVL 50 packaging is just what you’d expect; it’s the headphones in a box with no frills. You also receive a 6ft micro USB cord for charging and a quick start guide. The headphones themselves are all plastic with breathable fabric ear cups and a padded headband also covered in fabric. Nothing flashy and except for the Xbox green in the ear cups and green wires running through the headband, completely unadorned. If you walked up to someone wearing these, you’d have no idea what brand or model they were. I don’t consider this a bad thing and I doubt most people buying sub $100 headphones are interested in impressing their friends. The one thing I don’t like about the design is that the switch/knob labelling is very faint and hard to read. There are only a few buttons/switches, though, and you’ll learn them quickly enough. Given their construction, you won’t be throwing this headset in your suitcase for travel both because they are not all that sturdy and they do not fold. Adjustments are typical of most low cost headphones. The earpieces have limited pivot and rely on the plastic flex for fit detail. Ear pieces slide to adjust. Importantly, I’ve a fairly large head and I find them very comfortable. First session was about 5 hours and I never got hot or uncomfortable. These are much lighter and at least as cool and comfortable as my old high end wired set. The padding in the headband is, to me, the biggest factor in this comfort. In fact, I’d only worry about fit if you have a very small head. To sum up the fit and comfort, the design is clearly for low cost, but done very well so there is very little comfort compromise; a noteworthy accomplishment. Pairing was painless; just plugged the dongle into my Xbox and turned on the headset. There are instructions for pairing, but they were unnecessary and, so far, no issues with wi-fi interference. Listening sound quality, while obviously a key to any headset, is very subjective. These are stereo only, so any surround effects would have to be produced by the game/console/PC. What I can tell you from my initial use is that it’s just fine for me. I play Red Dead Redemption 2, Far Cry 5, and Fallout 76 primarily. All sound just as good as my wired headset did. I haven’t used these for movies and likely won’t, but my guess is they’d be fine for this purpose. For music, probably not your best choice but would be okay. All in all, these have gaming sound that punches above the price point. I don’t think you’d be disappointed. Microphone sound quality, reported by those I’ve played with on line, is good and I did not have to repeat anything I said. I particularly like the flip up mute feature. The Xbox version has two volume knobs; one is an overall volume knob and the other is the chat/game volume mix. You can tune the sound using these two knobs, but it does require some playing around to get it just right and if you are playing on line with others, will likely require adjustment every time you team up. From what I’ve read, the PS4 version does not have the mix knob. Other thoughts: Support documentation and on line info is lacking currently. The PDP site has no FAQ or downloadable info regarding the LVL 50 (wired or wireless). The quick start guide has no information about charging and no detail about functions. The headset is not complex, but I usually review manuals and FAQ’s before buying and I did try to find out about the led/charge light functionality. In the case of the LVL 50, this isn’t possible. Durability, durability, durability. Only time will tell, but I don’t see these holding up to abuse and I wonder about long term use. This is only speculation, but I do worry. On the positive, they do have a two year limited warranty, so that does give me peace of mind. So far, I can’t help but be pleased with the value of the LVL 50 wireless. Sure there are better ones out there, but I can’t imagine one better at this price point. One final note; I bought these from a local retailer. The price everywhere on line and in stores today is the same, so if you are considering these, you might want to check locally to put your hands on them before you buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It works I mean it works for the most part but, you have to be really close for people to hear you, it doesn't tell you when it's charged, and it doesn't tell you how to know what sound mode your in

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and very comfortable to wear I received the Afterglow-LVL50 wireless stereo headset as a gift. I love that they are super comfortable to wear. They block out the noise around you so you can only hear your gaming. The wireless option is super helpful. I am planning on purchasing another pair soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had for 2 years I won a headset about 2.5 years ago now in a PDP gaming Christmas giveaway. After a few months I had an issue and contacted PDP through twitter. They were very helpful and directed me to their support where they then replaced my headset with these. This headset has held up much longer with better build quality and sound than several very common name brand headsets I've had in the same price range. Anyway, thought I would come leave a positive review for a quality product and very helpful assistance. Thanks PDP!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I bought this headset just looking for a quick upgraded headset for my Xbox. Upon opening the package I noticed they were wireless rather quickly. I can leave the volume on my television completely off, and I still here the game or sound from the movie/game/show on my television. The chat sound is crystal clear and I can hear myself talk rather well. Excellent surround sound and indication of which side things are happening on. I love these headphones and would purchase again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for gaming! Received these headphones for my XBOX One - the quality is amazing. Well made, comfortable for hours of gaming use. The flip up mic is a handy feature - eating and having conversations without interupting the gaming is great. Color is great without being flashy. Charging life is longer than I expected and being completely WIRELESS is the best feature. Can't believe I was wired all these years. Bluetooth was seem less for pairing, no issues. Would highly recommend.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only had a couple weeks and can’t charge anymore Started out fine. Quality, comfort, clarity, ease of use, all good. But then about 2 weeks into gentle daily use, they became impossible to charge. My guess is the cable as I can wiggle the cable into the usb port on the plug side, and see the charging light come on for a split second before I wiggle it too far and the light goes out. It’s a VERY precise and finicky location to charge. Tried with multiple wall adaptors. No dice. Too bad a cable ruined a perfectly good set of headphones. Going with Sony or Turtle Beach from now on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good! While it works.. Was a great headset when working. Great sound, mic is awesome. however around two or three months later, and the power button seems to be jammed or something, haven’t been able to use it since considering it’s wireless. Completely useless now all because of one button. I’ve never dropped it, I have a stand for it and it never leaves there unless I’m using it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great sound I bought these three weeks ago for my 10 year old son. They are great for him but his friends can't hear him. I took them back to big w where I purchased them for a exchange. I was told I could but need the charger. I then went home and got mad at my son for throwing it away. In saying that I have not read anywhere that it comes with a charger. Does it, can anyone tell me? Because being a ten year old kid the box and instructions got thrown out.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Doesn't sync well. Volume buttons do not work! I bought this headset as a replacement for my steel series arctic 7 wireless had set and at first I said why not. the package and material feels great and doesn't look like it's too cheap for the price. Plastics are some what displeasing. Every time I try to sync I have problems syncing and when I do I either get no sound, no game chat or party chat sounds. None of the volume buttons adjust. The syncing is trash tried different ports. have done multiple trouble shooting. There's limited setup and install guides on the web and or trouble shooting guides. For $80 this should've worked right out of the box as it should. Very dissatisfied customer. It's suppose to be a Microsoft Licensed Product. All of it should work from the start.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! LVL50 Wireless Headset for XBOX is amazing. The quality of the sound is clear and loud. The comfort of the ear piece will allow you to play for hours. You have to option to raise volume from headset and through the console. Another great feature Is that they are rechargeable, you don't need to purchase batteries. I enjoy the wireless capability and the quality of the product design. I highly recommend the LVL50 Wireless Headset.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Broke in a couple months Lasted just long enough to loose warranty then microphone stopped working for no reason at all, took good care of the headset and put it up after every use. Performance was nothing to be happy about anyway sound quality poor. All in all just another headset brand trying to make people buy 3 headsets a year. Lets see if PDP takes this honest review down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Major improvements over the stock headset I got exactly what I wanted with this headset. Enclosed headphones to block out any background noise, wireless connectivity and high quality audio. The headset is comfortable, though I have to have mine closer to the maximum adjusted size. My only tiny issue is that muting means you have to flip the mic up which is more effort than simply pressing a button located in my hand area.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible Since day one that I bought this mic it came with no instructions and for some reason it keeps beeping and it’s annoying and I’ve tried multiple ways to fix it but does not work

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Wireless headset for the Price I had these headsets for alittle over a month now with me being a streamer on mixer. And i have to say that my money was well spent. Not only was the quality built is great but the surround sound on headset is amazing too. Compared to other mics thats 100 bucks and over this is a much better deal. I highly recommend this product to both hardcore and casual players

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good headset and it's has the perfect fit I bought this headset after christmas at an EBgames store near me and I have loved using it. However it didn't last for me the feeling got worse and then. One day a drop of water went down the micropgone on the headset. Little did I know it would cause multiple issues within the internal parts of the headset. I am yet to replace or buy and new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value I have been using this item for about a month now and I can say it’s probably the best quality combined with the best value. The sound is great the only drawback is it doesn’t have surround sound. They can get loud and you can hear your online friends clearly and vice versa. I will be using these until I upgrade to the next system.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing headphones They are very comfortable. Everything about them calls from the perfect headset. I have had so many turtle beach headset and not even the most expensive turtles can touch these. Actually surprised that pdp put out some quality headsets. Sound is amazing and they connect instantly. Buying another pair.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overall a poor experience. I have had two of them in the span of 6 months. Within two months the dongle from the original purchase died and I couldnt do anything. after purchasing a new dongle 2 months later it died as well for no reason. They sent me a replacement headset withe a new dongle and the DONGLE has died AGAIN 2 months after i recieved it. I am disgusted with the quality of the electronics. I have had cheaper headsets that were more durable even with getting beaten up for years from having the cord pulled and chewed on by kids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great & Affordable I’ve been a Turtle Beach headset person my whole. But this head set has the best sound and battery life I’ve found under 200$. I’m a battle Royale player and I can hear everything. The bass and treble and loud and clear. Will be a return customer. Thank you for a great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great headset! I love this headset! Setup was super easy, and the headset is very comfortable even for long periods of time. I love that the mic is removable, since I don't game often online. The battery has a long life, and I can run to my kitchen with the headset on without it cutting out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sound! Long battery life I wanted something that was wireless with decent sound quality and these are great. The sound is crisp, the bass is nice and deep I’m really pleased with them. Also they are comfortable and have pretty good battery life I’m an avid Fortnite player and a good headset is crucial in the game if your playing with friends. I’m glad I found these.
