Warehouse Manager
Performance Designed Products ("PDP"), headquartered in Los Angeles, is the largest manufacturer and supplier of third-party video game accessories in North America. PDP's corporate headquarters are located in Sherman Oaks, California with its primary warehouse and distribution facility in Vernon, California. PDP also has offices in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and in the People's Republic of China.
This position, based in Vernon, works under the immediate direction of the Director of Warehouse Operations, and in close collaboration with the Order Management, Transportation, and Receiving Departments.
The primary job responsibilities are for overall safety, order fulfillment timeliness and accuracy, and employee productivity.
Functional responsibility:
– Employee and facility safety.
– Maintaining a safety program.
– Order fulfillment timeliness.
– Order fulfillment accuracy – for a variety of diverse retail customer requirements.
– Headcount and productivity control vs. budget.
– Overtime control vs. budget.
– Inventory accuracy.
– Assignment and prioritization of order fulfillment / customer PO’s.
– Maintaining work force of 25 to 40 employees, including peak season temporary workforce.
– Employee performance reviews.
– Warehouse staging plan.
– Various other assignments and projects
– Ability to multi-task and work under time constraints.
Required Competencies: (‘must haves’)
– Current knowledge of warehouse processes and inventory controls.
– Strong interpersonal, leadership and (written and oral) communication skills.
– Analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to identify root cause issues, and to develop improvement processes and controls.
– Demonstrates a sense of urgency.
– Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Desired capabilities:
– Post high school education
– Familiarity with Microsoft Navision or similar ERP.
– Experience in consumer products / retail industry.
– Bi-lingual: English / Spanish.
