PROJECT/PRACTICE RELATED COMPETENCIES

Product Management

  1. Grow revenue and sustain margin in assigned class.  Revenue growth happens through “Keep the Peg”; sustaining and updating current product line, and “Win the Peg”; identifying and capitalizing on other opportunities, taking competitive pegs in VGA and other CE categories
  2. Develop successful and profitable accessory products for multiple channels from concept to manufacture to first shipment. Will require careful detailed planning, follow-up and attention to detail.
  3. Creates and executes project work plans/specs and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  4. Manages day-to-day development and operational aspects of a project and scope.
  5. Reviews documentation prepared by team for approval.
  6. Through attention to detail and collaboration with our engineering team and QA/QC teams minimizes our exposure and risk on products.
  7. Ensures project documentation is complete, current, accurate, and entered timely in the product Database.
  8. Assist and supervise PM1
    • Mentor PM1 with knowledge and experience you have gained
    • Encourage PM1 to take responsibility for their development within the company.
    • Challenge PM1 to progress toward their professional development goals.

Product Accounting

  1. Analyzes product revenue and profitability throughout the product lifecycle
  2. Use basic revenue models, Cost Analysis, Tool Plans, and Bill of Materials and make decisions accordingly.
  3. Know the competitive landscape as best possible from BOM through SRP

Communication

  1. Collaborate and coordinate with team members in multiple locations to achieve team objectives
  2. Communicate precisely and quickly to individuals of others teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing Engineering, Finance, Legal, Customer Service and Production)
  3. Effectively communicate relevant project information to superiors.
  4. Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
  5. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

Technical Understanding

  1. Possess general understanding in the areas of product development, manufacturing process, and industry safety standards.

  3. Continually seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen licensor relationships.
  4. Meet periodically with licensor representatives (at company locations and licensor headquarters).

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Minimum 5+ years of experience working as a product manager or developer in the CE industry
  2. Extensive experience in manufacturing products in China
  3. Bachelor or Technical Degree related to skills that would be utilized in your assigned class.
  4. Solid communicating and writing skills, familiar with all Microsoft’s business programs
  5. Tenacious in follow-up and driven to overcome and succeed
